Business Angels Europe (BAE) and Business Angel Network of Armenia (BANA) are pleased announce that BANA will join BAE as an Affiliate Member.
Since its foundation in 2017, BANA has started to build early stage investment ecosystem and promoting angel investing culture in Armenia - with success. The network is now self-sustainable with paying members and an excellent pipeline of startups. BAE and BANA have already enjoyed a fruitful working relationship during The Early-Stage Investing Launchpad project (ESIL), funded by the European Commission.
President of BAE, Luigi AMATI says: “we very pleased to welcome BANA as an Affiliate Member. This membership will further strengthen and deepen the links and relationships between European and Armenian angel investors. We look forward to sharing ideas, experience and business opportunities with this ambitious and innovative ecosystem”.
Director of BANA, Grigor HOVHANNISYAN, says: “Being member of BAE allows us to tap into their network of knowledge, expertise and experience. We look forward to finding new partners in the European market(s) and represent one of the fastest growing tech ecosystems in the Europe.”
Despite being a small country, Armenia has a strong and rapidly growing tech sector (25% annual growth rate) and a large number of successful and worldwide known startups. This was a stimulus for BANA to be the first to bring the angel investment culture to Armenia and provide the brightest young entrepreneurs with new opportunities.
