Business Angels Europe and EBAN (European Business Angels Network) launch cooperation to provide unique contribution to European angel investment.
The angel market is notoriously difficult to grasp and analyze, leaving market players, researchers and decision makers to work with partial views of angel investment and limited understanding of this asset class.
At a time when Europe needs more efforts and finance than ever for its top innovators to start, scale and succeed, the pivotal role of business angels must be understood clearly. At a time when the EU is putting the final touch to future financial instruments, the contribution of the angel market should be assessed soundly.
On March 13, BAE and EBAN, represented by Luigi Amati and Peter Cowley respectively, announced the launch of a unique tool: the European Angel Barometer, which will run every semester in 2019 and quarterly onwards. The tool will be composed of a reliable, growing panel of angels who agree to share insights, figures and comments on their investments, portfolios, on the market, trends and their impact on start-ups’ access to finance.
