This week, more than 25 attendees from around Europe immersed themselves into the French investor- and innovation ecosystem. In two days, they received unique access to the important players, data and insights from Paris.
The goal of the ESIL Programme, funded by the European Commission, is to strengthen and deepen the European Business Angel market by fostering cross-fertilization of ideas, experiences and best-practices of the leading European investors. This Study Visit was an important step towards that goal. For example, the newly elected President of France Angels Guy Gourevitch and the immediate past President Tanguy de la Fouchardière, explained how France Angels provides a strong example of how a well structured Business Angel ecosystem is greater than the sum of its parts.
On the second day, we had the privilege to be invited by the Arts et Métiers Accelator at the biggest incubator in the world, Station F. Special attention was given for how players in the ecosystem - like Business Angels - are being actively involved in accelerating the growth of start-ups.
