A new study 'Understanding the Nature and Impact of the business angels in Funding Research and Innovation', has been published. The publication was funded by the EU Commission and it heavily relied on the BAE members’ expertise and knowledge on the business angels activities across Europe. More specifically, the report maps activities in funding R&I and it offers both qualitative and quantitative assessment of the business angel markets. By including the more informal, less visible and also less documented activities of private business angels, the study has expanded the limits of the existing and available data. It also lists the best practices concerning support measures and various schemes for business angel investment and as such the report also offers some policy recommendations.
